2. Booking and Payment
A booking becomes binding upon full payment. For online bookings, a confirmation email will be automatically sent. For other bookings, a confirmation will be delivered by email or printed.
3. Booking Changes
Requests to change a booking must be sent in writing to info@lakehutsafaris.fi at least 48 hours before the program start. We reserve the right to accept or reject any change request.
4. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made in writing (by email). Cancellation fees are determined as follows:
- 100% fee if cancelled less than 24h before the tour or if the customer is more than 5 minutes late from the agreed pick-up or meeting time
- 50% fee if cancelled between 2–7 days before the tour
- 10% fee if cancelled more than 7 days before the tour
If services are provided by third-party suppliers, their cancellation terms will apply if stricter.
In the case of private tours, cancellation fees are always agreed upon on a case-by-case basis as part of the offer, but are at minimum 100€ per booking.
Complaints must be made within 30 days after the end of the excursion. Complaints received after this period will not be processed. When handling a complaint and any possible compensation, only the part of the service that was incorrectly delivered or faulty will be taken into account.
5. Child Policy
The child rate applies to children aged 4–14, unless otherwise stated. Participation of children under 4 years old must be agreed upon in advance and may be subject to a fee. For safety or comfort reasons, we may restrict the participation of children and issue a refund accordingly.
6. Language
Guiding is provided in English unless otherwise agreed. Other languages may be available upon request and may involve an extra charge.
7. Travel Insurance
Participants must hold personal insurance covering travel cancellation, accidents, damages to others, and winter sports. EU/EEA/Swiss citizens with an EHIC card can receive emergency medical care in Finland.
8. Safety
Customers must follow the instructions given by the staff. Participation in excursions is at the customer's own risk. The customer must inform the company of any health conditions affecting physical ability, such as illnesses or pregnancy. Not all activities are recommended for pregnant persons. Weather conditions may affect the execution of the program.
Lake Hut Safaris Oy shall not be held liable for any damages or delays caused by force majeure situations, such as natural disasters, exceptional weather conditions, government regulations, war, epidemics, general strikes, or other unforeseeable events beyond the company's control. In such cases, Lake Hut Safaris Oy reserves the right to cancel the reservation or postpone the service without being liable for compensation.
